Damon Salvatore’s 10 Best Pop Culture

There are so many reference to pop culture throughout The Vampire Diaries, and it’s a fantastic way to make the show more relatable to fans. This list includes Dracula as well as The Twilight series.

The Vampire Diaries, a comedy full of references to pop culture, is fun. The most iconic is when Elena and Damon attend Whitmore College to learn how to feed. In the process, Elena finds a discarded video camera and spots hilarious lines from Damon. Damon’s initial reference to pop culture from The Vampire Diaries is this line. It’s a wonderful example of his clever comedy.

The Vampire Diaries is one of The the CW Network’s best-loved shows that has been on the air for years. It’s currently on the third season and will be renewed for a fourth season in September 2012. This series offers a unique mix of young and teenage adult romantic drama with the supernatural as well as horror aspects. The show demonstrates the effectiveness to duplicate genres.
